I love bicycling and am rediscovering it. I got a new all around bike in March and have been racking the miles up whenever I can. If I get 30 miles in over a weekend, that's good these days. When I lived in Tucson, Arizona, I was averaging 200 - 300 miles a week. That was a few years ago though . . . Since moving out here, I did the MS-150 Escape to the Lake (Cranberry to Erie) about five years ago and Pedal Pittsburgh just this June. I'm signed up for another MS fundraiser, Cook Forrest Tour this September. This is a rolling 60 miler following the Clarion River. I enjoy seeing the sights by bike and enjoy the social aspects of riding with others.

The Tour is a welcome distraction in the evenings. I like the color commentary and appreciate the agony these riders suffer through. Racing over mountain passes for over 150 Km and then still having the energy left for a final sprint . . . Wow!!! The US has two teams this year, a first, but very few American riders. I am pulling for one American, Christan Vandervelde, but as of last night I think he's too far back to pull it off. The Tour ends Sunday and he's in 7th place, almost five minutes behind the leader. We'll see though as the next stages are relatively flat and that's his specialty.

Yeah, I was cleaning up the bookshelves the other day and came across the photography books. They are from my Permanent Collection and are reminders of version 1.0 of my life. I still appreciate the artistic end, but now I'm a recovering silver based photographer. I rarely use the 35mm anymore, I sold all my other cameras years ago (I had quite a stable, maybe half a dozen different cameras) and no longer have a darkroom. I've got a few choice black and whites around the house and I still have all my negatives. Every now and then I scan a few into Photoshop, but it's not the same thing. The rest of the time, it is all digital stuff.

The pizza place is a Pittsburgh chain. They've got a few locations around in Bethel Park and Mount Lebanon. They're good. I'll have to check the takeout menu we have, but they might have a Sewickly location.

Ahh. . . The doors are about to open at work. I've got another audio project to finish up today, so I'd better get started.

Been doing okay, reading "The Secret Life of Bees" right now, it's awesome. Got a couple books from BookMooch this past week. Do you do BookMooch?

I'm waiting to see if I snagged an Early Reviewer's book this month....if not, it's okay, I have a ton of books waiting here.
