Really loving this cute series. H.Y. Hanna is an author to watch. Already own Playing for Love. Think the concept of these stories are so cute veterinarians with the help of their furry patients managed to find and fall in love. Both Paying Santa: Nick and Holly and Playing for Love: Sara and Craig are heartfelt adorable reads. This book and series will not disappoint. Highly recommend. ( )

Holly Scott helps a woman who becomes ill in the restaurant where she works in Missouri. She continues to help the woman and her husband while they are visiting. They live in Australia and ask her to house sit and care for their cat while they travel. It's a dream come true for Holly who didn't have an easy life growing up in foster homes. When she gets to Australia she can't believe the huge, beautiful house. And it's on a cliff overlooking the ocean!

When Holly finds a box of puppies on the doorstep she takes them to the vet. Turns out that the vet is not only gorgeous but the neighbour of the people she is house sitting for.

I really enjoyed this wonderful Christmas romance. Ms. Hanna is a very illustrative writer making it easy to picture the events taking place. Christmas in Australia is so different from Christmas in North America. I didn't have any trouble envisioning this story even though I thought I would since it's summer in Australia in December.

If you are looking for a sweet Christmas romance that's a bit different (it was for me because of the different seasons) this is a good one to try. ( )

What I liked about the novel....

This was a real sweet romantic holiday read. I liked both of the two main characters Holly and Nick. The thought that puppies brought these two together was just perfect in this story line. In the end seeing Holly finally getting a great life at new place, a new friend and oh yes a new puppy presented a very good read. Would I recommend "Summer Beach Vets Christmas Special" for a holiday read?....YES! ( )
