Have at it! :)
If you've read some of his work, please toss out any suggestions you have. What are you planning to read?

Enjoyed various Roth reads some years ago - including Goodbye Columbus, The Great American Novel, and I Married A Communist, but only recently decided to get back into him. Almost on a whim I checked an audiobook version of Zuckerman Unbound out of my library and totally LOVED it! I'm not sure why I was so surprised - I hoped that I'd enjoy it - but it ended up being my best 'surprise' read/listen of 2012. Now I want to read The Ghost Writer next, and subsequently the rest of the Zuckerman Bound series in order.
I have a very hectic January and February ahead so am hoping to perhaps read The Ghost Writer in March or April.

I've read Goodbye, Columbus and I Married a Communist as well, I enjoy his writing. My library has a bunch and I have Plot Against America on my shelves, so I'll have plenty of options :)

I believe I have 2 or three Roth books on my shelf: Deception, Portnoy's Complaint and possibly American Pastoral, I may get to one of these near the end of the month. I want to tackle Ondaatje first and some of my other reading commitments.

I haven't read anything by Roth before but I have four of his in my TBR pile including American Pastoral and The Plot Against America so I'll try to read those two first and see how I go.

I've read a lot of Philip Roth over the years (and won't be reading any this quarter), but I find his work very variable (and his recent stuff pretty fluffy). American Pastoral is, in my opinion, his masterpiece.

I read Portnoy's Complaint when it first came out. Much more recently I've read The Breast, Sabbath's Theater, and The Human Stain (which would be my favorite so far). I'm hoping to at least read American Pastoral this quarter.

Has anyone been reading any Roth? I'd kind of forgotten about him, what with the excitement of starting all my various reading challenges for the new year, haha. I hope to get to at least one in Feb or Mar.

Been travelling with the family in Australia and haven't done much reading at all, so will hopefully get to some Roth during March.

I think American Pastoral will be on the list for February

Had actually forgotten about this author read earlier in the year, as what with a new job and a home move I sort of had a lot going on... Anyway, I just happen to have finished Roth's Indignation, so, better late than never, I thought I'd post a link to my review -

Overall it was a book that I enjoyed a lot. Four stars. Still plan on reading the Zuckerman Bound series in good time...
