Schoolteacher and heiress, Julie Rose has been kidnapped and Clint Evans has been hired by Julie's former fiancee, Robert, to find her and bring her home. Robert doesn't tell Clint that they are no longer engaged, so when Clint rescues Julie and begins to have feelings for her, it is upsetting, but he doesn't seem to be able to resist the quirky Julie, who is also very attracted to Clint. Robert tells Clint that the danger has not passed, and asks him to keep Julie safe a little longer, but Clint doesn't know how long he can hold out against Julie's persuasive nature.

Just a Hint - Clint is a fairly average romantic suspense that focuses mostly on the romance and very little on the suspense. The twist at the end is very easy to predict and the dangerous characters don't really seem all that dangerous. In addition, most of the characters are not well developed and come across as one dimensional. There is a fairly lengthy intimate scene that does add a little to the story, but overall, Just a Hint - Clint is, for the most part, an ordinary romantic suspense novel. ( )

Another good book in the Visitation series each with an intriguing who-done-it. It starts with a good attention grabber, has some steamy parts and finishes with an exciting ending. Clint is hired to rescue Julie who is being held hostage. Looking forward to Jamie's story.

Julie Rose is stunned by the heroics of the man who comes walking in to save her from the kidnappers who threatened to rape and kill her, even if the violence that ensues compels him to go throw up in the bushes afterward. Instinctively Julie knows that Clint is there to save her, in more ways than one.

Just a Hint Clint is Lori Foster's fourth book in her Visitation series. Although I liked the book a couple things bugged me. In the past books Julie Rose seemed like a very together teacher. Although we didn't know much about her what we did know would cause you to draw the conclusion that she was pretty intelligent. In this book Julie Rose struck me as more of a bloodthirsty ditz than anything else. I didn't really like her that much. I'm all for strong heroines in romance novels but she was totally over the top. Also, her descriptions of the men and women of Visitation (characters from past stories) while talking to Clint just seemed too heroworshippy for a rational adult. However, the adventure and suspense was well portrayed and exciting. The book moved along quickly and wasn't hard at all to read. I am really looking forward to reading Jamie which I believe is the next, and last, in this series. ( )
