Lisa Magloff

This is a book about volcanoes (and related disasters like tsunamis). It's got beautiful photographs and interesting text, but I must admit that I don't really like the format of these books. Rather than a continuous narrative, the information is broken up into what I think of as "sound bites" - little sections formatted all over the place, and sometimes to conform to features in the photographs. I suppose that when reading this to oneself it's not too bad, but I don't enjoy reading books from this series aloud. But other than that, the information contained here is good.… (lisätietoja)
