Summary: This book gives general information of President Barack Obama's dauReghters Sasha and Malia. Reaction: I enjoyed learning about President Obama's daughters. I am glad that they are have to do chores like most other American children. Extension: This is a good book for a History class or just for learning what is happening in the White House in present day America. This book was not my favorite. I do like the pictures of the daughters and how they author gives one facts about them, but I just simply didn't find this book very meaningful. I think this book focuses more on small irrelevant facts about the girls and white house, rather than having an inside look of their daily lives. I was disappointed because I thought I was going to have a better understanding of their lives and not little things about them as first daughters. I would't use this book in my classroom. ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu

I never realized how important it is to have biographies on kids! Again, I always had biographies in this box of "dead people" and "old people". I never thought about biographies on the many successful young people in this world. I loved how this book was set-up, and how easy it was to read. Each page had a picture that went along with the facts we were reading about, and it all flowed so well. Students will be able to relate to this biography because it is about kids that are just like them. At the end of the book we are given a glossary because the book introduces some tough vocabulary. I also enjoyed how the book talked about other first children, and how they wrote letters to Sasha and Malia to give them advice on being the president's daughters. I would love to compose a project on the different children in history because I have a feeling there are a lot I do not know about, and I think it would be fun to learn about. ( )
