Fifteen books in and this series still features a bully character that the other kids enable. And apparently the ambiguity of whether events are truly paranormal or just misinterpreted by the kids is an ongoing theme.

I can see why my daughter only got a handful of these books when she was younger. They're just not funny or good. ( )

Review/Critique: Eddie, Howie, Liza, and Melody all have their hands full when they have a new soccer coach the works them too hard. Things are hard until one day the coach gets in an argument with a witch-looking woman. Coach mysteriously starts acting very different- like a zombie. The kids have to beat the best kids in the league but they have no coach! Eventually they bring the coach back to normal when they work together to beat the best team. This book is realistic fiction because it's something the could happen in real life, as long as the coach wasn't actually a zombie.

The Bailey School Kids are great for boys and girls and the whole series can be accomplished throughout a school year.

I loved this book. It is about when the Bailey kids get a new soccer coach who works them very hard. Then they see her the next day they see the coach fighting with an old lady. Then they go to soccer practice and they see that she doesn't eat anything or do anything. Is she a zombie? Did the old lady put a spell on her? ( )
