I like Squeaking of Art. It would appeal to Pre-K to first grade. It is a great read aloud. Although it is not great literature, it would be fun for students. It reads like a seek and find. Tiny mice guide the students through various works of art that are arranged according to subjects and activities. I think it would work better as a read aloud it it were a big book. The pictures are small and would be difficult for the students to see the illustrations. The Promethean board could solve this problem, but intimacy would have to be sacrificed to accomplished this. It would work great in an art education class and could be combined with illustrations of the real works of art. I would use it throughout the year and connect it with styles of art. ( )
