This one was authored by Donald Bains, who is my preferred author to the series. I enjoyed the way Bains opened the story with Jessica in trouble, then spent the rest of the book explaining how she got there. I am uncertain how I like the ending, which prevented it from being a five star book. I'm not certain it fits Jessica Fletcher's character, but I can see why it ended the way it did. A fun, light read. ( ) The Maine Mutiny by Donald Bain and Jessica Fletcher 3 day lobster festival and one reporter is trying to advertise with her report, problem is no lobsterman wants to talk.... Craft show, beauty pageant and feast of lobster but there is a murder.. Books starts out with her stranded on Spencer's boat and she's been hit over the head and doesn't recall why she's there... story goes back 2 weeks to tell us how she got there. She did accompany a lobsterman out on his daily chores on the boat and she's able to see the rules they all have come to light, also the drastic competition and price wars. Sabotage occurs with many of the lobsterman and the clues are there for others to collect and figure out who is the culprit. I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device). Jessica Fletcher is in a compromising position as she awakens on a lobster boat adrift in Cabot Cove only to find that she is accompanied by corpse. Jessica finds herself in an investigation involving the town and its lobstermen. The town seeks to have a gala pageant to attract tourists to the dismay of the lobstermen who were told to curtail the sell of their harvests in order to meet the inevitable demand. The escalation of "accidents" and "mishaps" culminates in murder from the lobstermen's uproar over suspending their livelihood. näyttää 4/4 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
