I read the first two books in this series because they were a connected duet. The first book ends in a cliffhanger. I'm going to come right out and say that, in my opinion, there was NO reason that this needed to be two books. Everything is so dragged out. The first book was the same same over and over. It got nowhere and I just skimmed trying to find something that would get me excited. While the story was slow, it also had a lot of parts. There was the brother's best friend romance. There was the mystery of the folded paper crane stalker messages. There was the family unrest. There was the friend dynamic between the football players. There was the rival for Reagan's attention as well as few other guys that take note of her. etc. Going into the second book, I will say it was a tad better, but still far to strung out. I also think that I am probably to old to be reading college/new adult romance. I find the characters to be less than realistic and angsty. So....that being said....if you like this genre of romance, go ahead and read it. I see lots of good reviews. It just wasn't for me. ( )
