This series started off so good but for me it has become sidetracked by gene research which I thought the answer was obvious from the time they noticed a change in the first child born.
I didn't like the so called hero, he is arrogant, which I know as dragons they are but there seemed no reason other than he thinks a lot of himself.
Just didn't work for me.

Tide is a real sweetheart with a small side of douche. The way he makes Meghan's life tiresome is quite entertaining. But he makes up for it in those rescue scenes and at the end when he has to race for her. Shale is an entry that has intrigued me. In spite of coming across as a player he actually did quite a nice thing for Meghan and Tide at the end. Also the new discovery regard the Royal children is a really nice development. I liked the unifying element to it.
