I liked this volume better than the first volume. Like the first volume, this is an alternative history comic taking the title Rough Rider team, but adding historical characters that weren't connected or involved in the real team. Two volumes in and I think this comic book is really clever. It's not the best comic you'll read, but it's really fun if you like this type of stuff.

This comic book has also spark my interest in learning more about Annie Oakley and Jack Johnson and others. I kind of know about TR and Houdini already because of some biographies. I hope the creator's intention of this comic book is to learn about history in a fun way.

One thing I enjoyed was seeing Edison as the member you can't trust. At first you can trust him, than you can't trust him, than you can, and than you can't again. I'm not sure what he was like in real life, but this comic book makes him have an egotistical god complex. Also in this comic book, Annie Oakley has superpowers and Queen Victoria faked her own death. Obviously the comic is taking it's own liberties, but I think it makes this book fun. I see the next volume has Lovecraft.

I think for future volumes they should include some side stories of the character too. Like what happens when they aren't part of the Rough Riders? I'd like to see the family and friends of the other characters too. Maybe if this get's more popular that will happen. ( )
