And honestly, I can't say I learned anything new. I took the quiz beforehand, looking for areas I should hone in on. But I got a perfect score before reading Page 1.
All the advice/data/anecdotes are worth knowing. So this book may best be suited for someone just out of college. If you've been in the workplace for a while & are looking for the thing to get you to the next level, your best bet is probably getting a mentor/coach/sponsor as Hewlett advises.
All in all, this is well-written, clear, & you can't argue against it. So if it appeals to you, pick it up. But if you're looking for that elusive "more" put down the book and talk to someone you want to emulate. (
