The book shares its poetry with a story that explores the city and embarks on various adventures. Each page features a unique poem that serves as the narrative, accompanied by vivid and animated illustrations. The book incorporates various poetic devices, making it an excellent resource for introducing students to the world of poetry. Good for ages 2nd-4th grade. This poetry book contains various poems about different things, they are goofy and humorous. Personally, I did not like this book. They are very child-like and random, which for me as a reader did not hold my attention. There is great use of poetic devices that could be beneficial for students being introduced to poetry. I think this book is better suited for younger age groups and would be helpful and beneficial for them if they were learning about poetry. I would not read this book again, unless it was being used in the classroom. In this book we follow a poetry slam group through the city and their adventures. Instead of prose writing , each page is a different poem used to narrate the story. Each poem is a rhythmic observation of life around us. The subject of the poems vary from bullies to weather to ice cream and more. Definitely a fun read for younger audiences When I first opened this book I was very skeptical of it, but as I moved through the poems I really fell in love with them. I read this to my fiancée and she laughed at me the whole time because of how into them I really got. Some are silly, but they are really fun to read. They do a good job of showing poetry slams and I think kids would really enjoy them. ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
