- Burton Lysecki Books is Winnipeg's oldest and most reputable dealership of used, rare and out of print books. Located on Osborne Street just south of the city center, the familiar stucco building with brown trim has changed! It's now a sleek metal-sided landmark with a bright red door. While that door might stop traffic, it's the collection inside which makes this shop a mecca for book lovers throughout western Canada.
In 1971, Burton purchased a modest, used paperback book shop. Over the years, this shop has grown into an establishment covering 3,000 square feet. This is home to an eclectic collection of 94,000 titles. More than 20,000 books are currently listed and available for sale worldwide on the Internet.
Hard covers, paperbacks, magazines, coffee table books, sets, and old volumes with fine leather bindings jostle for attention in this quaint and inviting setting. The range and depth of Burton's collection is truly remarkable. It is a fitting tribute to his 36 years of experience in buying and selling quality books. - Added By
