I've got a daughter who is just starting the transition from reading young adult books to traditional literature. I had a minor hit recently with Christina Rossetti's Goblin Market, but struck out when I tried to entice her to read Arthur Miller's A Smile at the Foot of the Ladder. I am trying to figure out other things that might be appealing: any ideas?

Her regular book diet includes reading and rereading everything ever written by Tamora Pierce, as well as lots of similar, fantasy oriented authors.

I have a number of fantasy type suggestions :-)

Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

Tithe and Valiant by Holly Black

The Mediator and 1-800-Where-R-You series by Meg Cabot

Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

Peeps and The Last Days by Scott Westerfeld

Secrets by F.M. McPherson

The Named, The Dark and The Key by Marianne Curley

I could pretty much go on forever, but I guess I'll leave off there.
