By the way, I just pulled my two books The Manifold Destiny of Eddie Vegas and Walk Like a Duck, a Season of Little League Baseball in Italy from River Boat Books due to incompetence, dishonesty, and a couple years worth of general bullshit. Looking for a new publisher.

Olof is not finished. It is in progress and needs the people. A contributions or two from you and bas and mac would be great. mac is on the cover so he better do something.

I pulled my books from River Boat due to incompetence and a variety of really awful things I endured over the last year. They were due out may 26.
I have this blurb from the great Steven Moore waiting to go on Eddie V:

But the publisher wants to sell his remaining 16 advance copies on the release date so he can afford to order more. I have a review coming from a good video review that is likely to generate more interest than that, but anyway you don't go to release date with less than your best copy.

My plan is to seek an alternative locally to print 100 Eddies and 50 ducks, not to be sold in the USA, the corona/samizdat editions. so the books are already at another press being taken seriously, largely because I wrote the moore quote to them. They said that if the books are not for them they would try to help me find someone. Meanwhile if I get these corona/smazdat copies, the reviews can go on and it would be a unique marketing-selling ploy that a US publisher might benefit from. And if not, I would have the damn books in my hands at least.
I thought I had it arranged today, but it fell through. I have two more options. I may know tomorrow or the next day if anything is possible. I had actually borrowed 2800 dollars to pay for printing, but decided that was nuts. So I will give half or more of that back right away and use what i need to make the corona/samizdat work. When i have a copy i will let you know.

Olof is due in a year or more. If I took all I have, plus all has been promised, got it in order, typed all the handwritten writing, I would be a long chapter from the end at about 600 or so pages.

I kind of envision the Olof Palme thing in a Eduardo Galeano Memory of Fire kind of way.

Rick, I am sorry about the River Boat Books deal. I sincerely hope you find a way through. I didn't yet get my copy of Eddie, but I am going to wait and purchase once you land somewhere, rather than send any $ to River Boat.
