Aaron Zevy

I really liked this book. I especially like how Zevy tells the story from a little boy’s perspective. The book is written in the tone and language of a young boy, not like an adult who is trying to sound like a boy. For instance when Willy talks about how the newspaper refers to him as William, but no one calls him William but his dad when he’s mad at him. I also like how the book doesn’t just talk about how Willy’s Jewish neighbors were targeted because of their religion. Willy takes action. He gets the entire community to put menorahs in their windows in support of their Jewish neighbors. This was truly an endearing story with a message of tolerance and acceptance of people who are different than ourselves.… (lisätietoja)
