Adam M. Smith

Adam M. Smith has held staff positions with the United Nations, the World Bank, and the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. He has also worked at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, in three US embassies, in the US State Department's Office of the Legal Adviser, and in counseling candidates for public office. Published in such magazines as the New Republic, the American Prospect, and Forbes, as well as prestigious journal including the Harvard International Law Journal, the Fletcher Forum, and the Commonwealth Journal of International Affairs, Smith has also coauthored an academic test on international justice (International Judicial Institutions, 2009). He has been interviewed by NPR, Reuters, the Associated Press, CNN, and other media outlets from around the world. Educated at Harvard, Oxford, and Brown, Smith is currently an associate at a Washington, DC-based international law firm where his active pro bono practice includes providing assistance to the Office of the Prosecutor at Cambodia's Khmer Rouge Tribunal.
