Two boys are best friends and always doing things together. They have a sleepover and start a pillow fight that leads to wrestling. One of the boys thinks he wins and the other walks home mad. The other boy apologizes and they both win.
Nicky's mom is making so much stew that he is allowed to bring a friend home for supper. But his best friend Alec can't come, and Carla won't come, she hates beef stew. So Nicky begins a funny, frantic quest for someone to share his favorite dish.
Bingo is going to be put in the school's dog show, but first his owners, Sam and Stuart, must give him a bath. They make a mess in the bathroom and are afraid they will be late to the dog show. Then their mother's car breaks down, but a policeman gives them a ride. At the dog show, Bingo gets tired and takes nap through the whole thing. But, he gets a blue ribbon because a dog knocks down the refreshment table and all the dogs except Bingo eat the food.
