The old fashioned pictures, illustrations, and type-set of this book might deter you from reading it, but it probably is the most forward-thinking, up-to-date and understandable book about COPD you could find in print. Nobody knows why I get bronchitis all the time--15 years every couple of months but it's not COPD. I read on page 15 when you diagnosed with acute bronchitis and you have asthma, it's called asthmatic bronchitis. I am bringing this book with me to my next doctor's appointment. There are 17 information-packed chapters that are not to be missed. The doctors who wrote it advocate for pulmonary rehab and an active lifestyle. They even have a full chapter on sex in the book. Woohoo! The end of the book includes a glossary of terms used in the book and some extra that might be used in the doctor's office if a person has COPD.
