"Teacher of flute and cornet, took up the study of flute with Mr. Jenss and Carl Woempner and cornet with Holly Wilder and B. Spitzner of New York, both of the latter having played in Milwaukee in Christ Bach's Orchestra some years ago. Mr. Petersen has been on the faculty of the Wisconsin College of Music for several years, but has taught in Milwaukee over thirty-two. He was at one time a member of the faculty of the music department of the Milwaukee State Normal School. He also teaches flute in the public schools of Milwaukee." --Arthur E.
