The last chapter, Lagniappe, is a great addition. You can read how different words are pronounced in the south versus the north, the history of the King cake, how to boil perfect eggs, how to choose fruit, make perfect candy and cakes, what wine goes with what food, how to decorate with candles or fresh flowers, how to tell what breads are the freshest and there are tips, a roasting chart, measurement chart and more.

There's a recipe for "Uncle Alan's After Thanksgiving Gumbo" that I can't wait to try. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to cook, loves Cajun food, or just collects cookbooks. I love it. It's now one of my favorites and I know I'll be using it often.… (lisätietoja)
