A nice book on oil pastels from the materials involved to techniques to use with oil pastels to health and permanency issues with oil pastels. One of the most valuable parts of this book is the comparison of brands including colorfastness.

While I am glad I bought this book, I wish it was better. One problem is his style of work is very loose which means many of his techniques are not appropriate to my very controlled style. Second, some of the material is now dated as the oil pastel manufacturers have changed pigments (and thus colorfastness). Third, there are almost no step-by-step demos.… (lisätietoja)
