Angel Knots

meh, not bad per se but not really my shtick. I need more plot i think, more interaction between characters and less internal monologue. everyone was one track minded and it got old after a while. also while i appreciate the omegaverse i don't appreciate the whole becoming mindless after meeting your 'fated mate' thing...a little more tension and substance would have been good.

This was an interesting take on Fated Mates. The professor who teaches about history and mythology of fated mates didn’t really believe it was real until his own mate dropped into his class. Nolan is drawn to Professor Grayson, but he is driven to follow his plan for his future and never considers his professor as someone to have a fling with or fall for.

This took the premise that fated mates make you fall head of heels in instalove, and it made Nolan (who is very OCD in his plans and future) throw it all out the window. They were hot together, but it seemed a bit to “alpha posturing” for me. Gray’s alpha attitude was always because he wanted to make Nolan happy, but it was always what he thought would make Nolan happy rather than have them communicate. It worked out in the end, but it didn’t feel organic all the time. I was also annoyed that Nolan didn’t really tell his friends anything (except Jamie). He just spent all of his time with Gray but no one questioned him. Then it was like Jamie knew everything about him, but we never saw them talk it all through. It felt like a little was missing.

Overall, I did enjoy the story, but it did have a few pieces missing that I would’ve loved to make it feel more complete. I will say, however, that I loved the epilogue. It was super sweet.
