Wren starts into a fantasy MMORPG that is steered by three sentient Ais. Wrens mother ist the lead developer of the game. She plays with her best friend and some people of her old guild from another game.
Lots of mystery, lots of vague hints and a lot of tension. For my personal taste a bit too much detailled fight descriptions.
Maybe this book deserves more than 3 stars but i keep this GR ratings for me to keep track of my reads and how I liked them.
And the reason for 3 and not 4 stars is, that i think there is not enough room to enjoy Wrens achievements. Every level gain is "cool new stuff" on the one side but always connected with even more vague hints and oracle stuff and mostly some dark "we wont tell you what you should do, but if you do the wrong thing it could be very harsh on you." threats.

You know how you get into a series and there's alway that one book that kind of falls flat? Well, this second book is so far from the bottom that I can't see it falling at all. We saw the first book from Sai's perspective most of the time. I wanted more Dom. KT delivers in the sequel. Seeing the world, and his stuggles, from his perspective gives more depth to this story overall. Like there is so much more that KT can do with it than in just 3 books. I am looking forward to the last book in the series, and hoping for more in this world. I love KT's brain and stories. She has a fan girl in me for life.… (lisätietoja)

I was one of the lucky ones to see this novel evolve over time. Even as a rough draft, this was an incredibly strong story. I was also blessed to be able to read the final product before it was released. Oh how I love ARCs! :)

By far one of my favorite YA SciFi novels of all time. KT Hanna has a way of getting into the head and the heart of both her characters and her readers. Her story. Her words. Her strong plot. Her strong and diverse characters. All leave the reader feeling all the emotions and craving more. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series…and more from KT Hanna!

Sai wasn’t born a leader. It was thrust upon her and she is learning how to handle that on top of learning how to control her powers. Her interactions with Bastian and Dom are strong without the need to be saved by a guy. Sai is truly a model heroine. More girls need to strive to be like her, including me.… (lisätietoja)
