Each of the circular cards has illustrations on both sides, giving players twice the options for their storytelling. The game comes with multiple sets of instructions, but the rules are really less important than the players’ imagination. Give these cards to a group of kids and see what they come up with. In a classroom setting, the cards could be used by individuals or groups for both writing exercises and verbal storytelling. For example, a single card could serve as a writing prompt. Or a series of cards could be used to explore devices for unraveling a sequence of events. Students could work in groups for timed storytelling contests. The cards could also be used to identify parts of speech.
