I have three opening books on the Benko. The Fed being the more recent has outdone Benko, and Bellin in his research and presentation.

Once, on ICC, I played a Benko miniature from the White side. 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.d5 b5 4.cb a6 5.Nc3 ab 6.e4 b4 7.Nb5 Nxe4 8.Qe2 (Now thinking he is a pawn to the good and unsuspecting that this is all book my opponent on Dec 25th played ) 8 . ...Nf6 and I played 9.Nd6 mate (the e-pawn is pinned).
