Finally had the opportunity to take this off the shelf and read it, since I'm headed to Philadelphia in a couple weeks and wanted a quick refresher course on some of the city's historical sites. George Boudreau's book more than sufficed for that, and is filled with excellent descriptions of Philadelphia buildings and those who lived and worked in them. An outstanding guide (though I might perhaps have included more detailed maps at a few points).½
