In UNMANNED Jessica Rae Bergamino continues the story of the Golden Record by giving voice to both Voyager spacecraft who must carry it. Through references to popular culture and astronomical phenomena, Bergamino's poems examine ideas of the body: human bodies, celestial bodies, and our body of knowledge about the universe. There is a vitality and ardor behind even the scientific language of the poems, and the characters of the Voyagers are complex and compelling.
