The lovely Mariette Hartly (sp?) is always a treat, and any story that shows Mr. Spock out of his self-imposed Vulcan stoicism is terrific. This one is the one about Spock and Bones getting accidently sent into a glacial past, and meeting a gorgeous exile in an ice cave. She falls for Spock, and vice-versa. Also a nice set-up for later ST novels Yesterday's Son and Time for Yesterday.
