Summary: This book is a great read aloud for children that are starting to recognized the alphabets. Alot of rhymes and great colored pictures to keep young children's attention! Each page has a different alphabet and picture that represents what alphabet is on the page.

Personal Reaction: I really like this book. Especially to read to my 2yr old or at a daycare. This book is very color which I love and each page has a different picture and alphabet which will help children become familiar with what's associated with that letter/ alphabet. Also, the rhymes in the book are great and young kids love being able to understand the rhymes!
Classroom Extension Ideas: 1. I would read the book to the class and have them repeat the alphabet that I am reading aloud and let them say what animal or fruit is associated with the letter. For example A is for apple or C is for Cat! 2. I would pass out a letter from the alphabet to each student and have them tell me and the class what animal or fruit is represented by this letter and after that the students can color their alphabet and I'll collect all the letters up and make a class Alphabet Book illustrated by the Students! ( )

I love this book. It would be awesome for elementary aged children especially grades K-1. It is dealing with the alphabet and each page is a different letter. It has objects on the page that start with that letter, as well as cute little rhymes to go along with it. The book is really colorful, and the pictures are very cute. It has a lot of animals in it also so not only would it help kids learn their alphabet but it could familiarze them with different animals.
