A novel in verse told from the point of view of Gerda Taro (Gerta Pohorylle), a Jewish Polish woman raised in Germany, who escaped to Paris as Hitler rose to power, and became a photojournalist who, together with Robert Capa (Hungarian Jew Andre Friedmann) captured the reality of the Spanish Civil War until her death in Brunete in 1937.

Usually I love a novel in verse, but I felt like the line breaks in this one were awkward, and the floating lines (not everything was aligned left) didn't necessarily add anything. Other readers may well feel differently.
