A play-by-play of the events after 9/11, written and drawn much like a documentary, including cuts to single-sentence quotations from observers and key players. Rated 3 stars to reflect my personal lack of interest in non-fiction, not because I don't think someone else with more NF affinity wouldn't like it. ( ) This is an account of how select people experienced the 9/11 attacks at the Twin Towers and Pentagon, with special focus on firefighters and police officers who were at Ground Zero, and their coworkers searching to rescue/recover them for months afterwards. The whole account is presented in a graphic novel format. It's easy to read and understand. And it's beautifully drawn. There were vignettes of individuals who rushed in to help dressing in marine uniforms, officers who miraculously survived the tower collapse, and a rescue dog who passed out on the scene and came back to work after being resuscitated. When I read it I felt sad, but I also felt a sense of hope at seeing people helping each other and showing so much resilience. näyttää 3/3 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
