I liked this book but man it sure was a slog to get thru. I do enjoy this series but each book does kind of have that moment where I’m like “this could be 100 pages shorter”

I’ll keep reading the series just the same (

This was pee-your-pants good!

I didn't even want to put this down for a second and almost piddled my drawers a few times from holding it in for so long. I laughed so hard at some of Sunny's antics that I had to cross my legs and squeeze and hope I made it to the loo in time.

I loved both of these characters and their story. I'm going to be sad when this series is over which I believe this was the final book with the exception of Viola's story. I can't be too sad though because if the spinoff series of the Dark Angels and the Rise of the Warlords. I'm excited to see what's next. (

I was probably predisposed to like the hero best, since he's been a supporting character in many of the previous books, and the heroine is brand new, but I ended up not liking her very much at all. She's a very difficult person to deal with I think, exponentially more so for the hero in particular. Of course he was willing to overlook all her BS, but I'm not so swayed myself. And because I didn't really feel like rooting for one half of the couple, I didn't enjoy their relationship all that much. I'm still glad I read it, I had been curious about the hero's backstory, and, though we didn't get all the answers, I was pleased to learn a bit more. (

We've been waiting such a very long time to meet William's mate. While he spent so much time pining for Gillian, she was always fated to be his friend, not his other half.

This book was everything, I feel, we as readers were waiting for with our dear Willy. We learned of his ever-elusive past, followed his growth from self-loving playboy to devoted partner... and finally, watched as his trust and connection with Sunny grew. And miss Sunny Lane is the ultimate female badass - rainbows and spikes to boot.

This story was well worth the wait, and I'm eager to see whose journey follows next. (
