This book made me laugh out loud in some places. I really like it when an author pits him/herself into the book. In this case Jameson Rook, another Castle creation is mentioned. Love it ( )

Raging Heat is an action adventure that is full of twists and a style of writing making it likable from the very start. Although there are few places where a couple of sentences are difficult to read, it is a book that is hard to put down. Adding to the likability of the book, are moments that make you smile and think that it is typical of the writer to add those little quarks. ( )

I adore Castle the series, so naturally I'm going to check out any Richard Castle novels that appear on my radar. This one came in new to the library where I work, so the moment I had processed it into stock I issued it to my ticket. No matter that I already had 8 books stacked up by my bed waiting to be read. This one took priority.
Real life got in the way, so it took longer to read than I would have liked - long gone are the days when I could do as my daughter does and sit up 'till the book is read - but it kept me coming back for more whenever I got a spare minute.
Full of action, intrigue and Castle's signature wit, this story is a must for all fans.
Not too much of a spoiler to say that I laughed out loud at the early 'in-joke'....
"No shame in having a ghostwriter," Storm said. "Some of the best books published every year are penned by talented writers whose identity the public will never know." LOVE IT! ( )

Something that should be a simple read, to fill otherwise wasted time watching commercials, leaves you thinking all sorts of things. The plot was complicated and twisty. We get little bit here and there, that don't seem to have anything to do with anything, especially each other. And than, like an interesting beaded necklace, they get strung together into a fantastic pattern. The hero is a bit much, but so is James Bond. ( )
