This book was okay. Not anything that I would tell someone else to read. ( )

Summary: This book is about a little girl named Miranda who has a desk that is really messy. Miranda goes to her uncles house and he is a magician. Miranda goes through her uncles stuff and finds his collection of magic hats and she thinks that they will hold all of her stuff out of her desk. At first her uncles hats were working but then things started to go terribly wrong.

Personal Reaction: I thought this book was really cute and reminded me of something that I would have done as a child. When I was a little girl my desk was always a mess.

Classroom Extensions:

1. The teacher could have the children make top hats and have them try to clean their desk out into them and see how much trash they can fit the hat.

2. The teacher could also make it magic day at school and all of the students could dress up like magicians.
