In this second installment of The Clayton Falls Series, it’s Becca and Gavin’s story. I really enjoyed the way it was written, it switches back and forth between Gavin and Becca’s thoughts. They start off on a bad foot, and pretty much have a love/hate relationship. Eventually they cannot deny the attraction between them. Be sure to have Kleenex ready as you will feel Becca’s pain. The author did a great job of creating characters that we can relate to. I’m not a huge romance fan, but I enjoyed this one very much. There was so much more meat to the story than romance. If you like romance and a good story, you’ll want to read this! ( ) Finished Reading October 14, 2013 Book Rejected This story is an example of why I try to avoid anything that smacks of "Academic" and high school type books. The characters, no matter the genre, drive me nutz. Talk about S L O W reading! How do you know a book is slow & boring? Well, I started reading this October 1, 2013 & it took me TWO WEEKS to say 'The End' Why oh Why did I torture myself so much back in 2013? Why didn't I just DNF this thing?! Prch Amz September 30, 2013 Background: Becca is Molly's friend from law school, and she is having a rough time this summer, her mother recently passed away and her position at the DA's office was not awarded again. So she is on her way to Clayton Falls to visit Molly and work at a small office in town for the summer. Review: I am now a fan of Alyssa Rose Ivy, she is so talented. I really enjoyed this book as a follow up to Derailed. Same set of characters but the book was from another one's experiences and I really enjoyed seeing the older characters again. Veer has the same feel as Derailed, girl depressed about life and not sure what track she is on, when she meets cute boy and they fall for each other... the mushiness of it all was great. Becca is very different from Molly, she is a little more put together but very insecure and super sacred of life it seemed. That was kind of annoying, but it also made her personality suiting to the guy she chooses. Speaking of which, this book is also told from the POV of Gavin, the annoying, cocky cop that was so into Molly in Derailed. I think that from giving the reader his POV he becomes more likeable. Like Derailed there was sexual content but again it was not the raunchy kind. However there were a lot of sexual encounters. I think that the titles of these books really have meaning and that was a fun aspect as well. I really did love this series and flew through the books. I cannot wait to read more of Alyssa's writing. näyttää 3/3 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
