This is a good one for fans of The Plain Janes. ( )

Really liked the art and the story in this graphic novel about a 16-year-old from Virginia adjusting to her family's move to New York City. I'll be checking out Gulledge's other work. ( )

Reminds me of Castelluci's Janes for art and wit and whimsy. Lightly done, but tackles big subjects on how to be true to yourself, even better, on how to find out who that self is. ( )

The writing is pretty on-the-nose, even if it is relatable to me. The character designs looked cheap, too, but the book is most interesting when focused on Paige's abstract drawings. ( )

Possibly the best YA graphic novel I've read this year! The artwork was just simply amazing, stunning and gorgeous! It was outside the box and glorious! The story is about a sixteen year old girl who moves to NYC and is lonely and is fighting within herself with all her doubts and insecurities. However, when she meets new friends, it shows the wonderful transition of a backward teenager blossoming up into a very strong-willed girl. Just a wonderful read throughout. ( )
