I saw your comment on the Grant vs. Lee topic. I put that up hoping to stir some controversy and interest to get a thread going. On the topic of Lee's inability to discipline I think Fuller's premise was that Lee was just too nice to be a good general. As you pointed out He would never bring his subordinates to task for their failures. For example, when Jeb Stuart finally showed up at Gettysburg lee hardly had an unkind word to say.
I read a little of your blog because I am trying to start one of my own. I also have set up at blogspot but haven't done any posting yet. Do you find blogspot to be accessible and attract readers. I consider myself an autodidact and a lot of my reading is a one person graduate seminar. I want to get out my ideas and the blog seems to have replaced the pamphlet as a way to do this. I would appreciate any ideas on how you manage your blog.

Hello Robert, thank you for connecting with me. How great that your home page is named "military philosopher," much like Sun Tzu. If you like The Art of War, be sure to check out my new book that just came out two weeks ago. If you have any questions about it, let me know. Sincerely, Thomas.
Stumbled across your page - very interesting! Military history and the like are the absolute lowest on my list of interests but autodidacticism is at the top. Have you published anything, perchance?
Greetings. At least LT-wise, we have the most in common. I had to see who also liked David Chandler, Trevor Dupuy and Keith Laumer. I can see how someone with your background would like Laumer.
Hi, I wanted to look at your homepage, but got an error, something like page not found. Interesting early book you have about Russian airships 1897.
There are three copies of "An Album of American Battle Art" on LibraryThing with three different authors.
You have two of them.
One is the 1947 LOC version, from which LibraryThing didn't import the author name of Library of Congress.
One is the DeCapo reprint, with Donald H. Mugridge as the author. LOC has Library of Congress as that versions primary author also.

I have just entered the 1947 with Library of Congress.

Since the 1947 didn't have an ISBN, they cannot be merged on LibraryThing.

Would you consider changing both your primary authors to Library of Congress?
I saw that modern addition to Oman advertised, I'm definately tempted as I remember the authors looked top notch. Thumbs up or thumbs down?
