A young adult fantasy tale about an ordinary girl on an extra-ordinary journey. It's been done before, but McIntyre adds a personal touch, that I enjoyed. A magical green dog who can transport people back in time - what's not to love?

I like the background, but had a hard time with some of the dialogue and accents. 4.5/5 stars

Abby is a no-nonsense protagonist, a 14-year-old girl who has moved with her family from Nebraska to Scotland. But that’s just the start of her travels. Walking alone in the highlands to investigate the mysterious well where her mother purportedly died, she meets a glowing green dog and is transported to the 14th Century. Fate has charged her with unraveling an ancient curse, freeing a parcel of women from various times who are trapped under the mountain, and defeating some nasty faerie folk.

This is a lively, fast-paced YA fantasy adventure with excellent writing and truly lovable characters.
