Further Studies of Old Thai Coins was published through the Journal of the Thailand Research Society and is available online through the Journal of the Siam Society's archives Vol 35.2 (1944). This work is a great addendum to Reginald Le May's The Coinage of Siam. Guehler catalogs pot duang or bullet money, an early currency of Thailand. Pot duang are pieces of silver that have been folded over and stamped to be used as currency. The challenge is trying to identify which reign, kingdom, or time period the coins originated from. There are several plates along with pages showing the markings to be found on the bullet coins not cataloged in Le May's work. While the photos are not of great quality (it was war time), the weight measurements and descriptions of coins may be helpful. For collectors or those interested in numismatics and old Thai currency this is a good resource.… (lisätietoja)
