For me, visiting New York for the first time, this edition of rough guide wasn't complete enough.
-I found out (for instance) there are way more and better discount stores than mentioned (unfortunately on the last day of my visit)info seems random
-some suggestions for walking tours would have been convenient
-background information was great

After reading half a dozen travel guides via the library, this is the only one I bought and brought with me. Not the best one for pre-planning your itinerary (I still like DK for that) but it worked the best for actual schlepping around town for reference.
Was an indispensible companion for planning things when in NYC in May 2006.

Of course, what one gains in detail one pays back in bulk; this will just fit in a pocket of my overcoat, which is fine at the time of writing but will be awkward come summer.… (lisätietoja)
