Tim Dorsey was born in Indiana in 1961. He received a B.S. in transportation from Auburn University in 1983. From 1983 to 1987, he was a police and courts reporter for The Alabama Journal. He joined The Tampa Tribune in 1987 as a general assignment reporter. He also worked as a political reporter näytä lisää in the Tribune's Tallahassee bureau and a copy desk editor. From 1994 to 1999, he was the Tribune's night metro editor. He left the paper in August 1999 to become a full time writer. He is the author of the Serge Storms series. Hurricane Punch is an interesting book. It is another book in the series of a serial murderer who escapes being caught, who seems to care about right and wrong, admits that he is mentally ill, who spouts historical information about the state of Florida and really is despicable yet a true hero. There is a sequence of story here concluding with an unexpected ending. Four stars were given to this book on originality alone and good story.

I am assuming this book is intended to be a satirical take down of the CIA and America's sometime questionable foreign policy initiatives. We have Serge who leads a group of friends who literary kill bad people who in this case are CIA operatives who are poorly trained and have questionable morals and ethics and are a threat to people who have become innocent targets of this group.
Dorsey insists on having some of the characters tell incredibly crude stories and their swearing is of a particularly crude variety. I could not find a justification for using it.… (lisätietoja)
