A redneck graphic novel, which is a new one for me. You know it's pretty country when a major plot point turns on a hound dog's flatulence.

Aliens have invaded Earth, except the backwoods community of Clay County -- really four resident drunks -- don't seem to know anything about it. The aliens need something from the county, but the good ol' boys aren't about to give it up without a fight, so long as they have a beer first. There's some stereotypical humor, but there's a bit of surprise as well (for example, one character seems overly concerned about an anal probe from the aliens; he's actually hoping he can save on his colonoscopy co-pay if the aliens do it for him).

The line art seems to make the characters a little more dynamic, and the humor keeps the story moving. Probably best for teens and up due to some swearing (and the alcohol).
