Fantasy
I liked this book a lot during my early teens, although I thought it lacked some more exciting details. Pretty average fantasy stuff which didn't make me want to jump into the sequel - although the setting was quite original. I loved the idea of a boat attached to a whale.
Saw this author's presentation at a book fair. I'm finally getting around to reading this book.

I liked this story quite a bit and am glad that I went back a few years later, saw him again and got 5 more books by him.
I don't think I will ever forget the spiders, nor Jack, or Nick, or Finch or yikes!, Gnasher & Basher. // Probably could have explained Jack and the Giantess's affection for each other more. I loved the spiders with the people heads (but they couldn't talk like us). Loved the floating cloud and how when the shadows stopped moving, they could tell something was wrong.… (lisätietoja)

I cant believe the series is over! ( even if the conclusion story was the best) this series was written very well, and I love how the author made this magical world and our world (future world maybe) coexist in this book, although our world is apparently distroyed at the start. I loved all the characters, except maybe Jonathan. he had a bad personality!!! (but then again thats probably why he was the bad guy.) :-o
