This is a short story about Sherlock Holmes and Watson trying to figure out how Julia Stoner died. It all happens when Helen Stoner the sister of Julia comes to see Sherlock. She says that here sister died and before her sister died she heard a whistle and a metal clang. Sherlock and Watson go to find it out. They go to Stock Moran and to the room the sister died in. Currently Helen is sleeping there. There is a air vent in the wall between the room and Dr. Grimsby Roylott sleeps. Connected to the vent is a bell rope that does not pull a bell. Dr. Roylott does a lot of work in India. Holmes and Watson spend the night in the room and see a quick glimbs of a snake through the vent. They go into Dr. Roylotts room where he is died because the snake had betten him.
I like this book because I like mystery books. I also like reading Sherlock Holmes books because he is the greatest detictive in the world. I like how Dr. Roylott has a lot of animals including a cheetah and a baboon. I also like when Holmes was scared becase of the baboon. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a realy amazing aurthor. I like how in the end everything comes together. I also like when Dr. Roylott comes in and bend the poker then Holmes bends it back. This is a great mystery book that everyone should read. ( )
