the clumsy crab was sad because he would clip or break anything around him by accident. eventually his friend got stuck in some seaweed and the crab was the perfect person to help him. he just needed to find what he is good at.

This book is about how the clumsy crab keeps falling over his claws and he doesn't like them. By the end of the book, his big claws are needed to help one of his friends get out of the seaweed, then he likes them. (

A story about finding what you're good at and learning self-esteem. Crab believes he is clumsy with his claws and that they get in the way of everything he does including playing hide and seek, toss the bubble and tag. HIs friends though allow him to be the seeker in hide and seek and clumsy Crab learns that his claws are more than just clumsy and that he is able to save the day when Octopus gets stuck in the seaweed. A cute story with fun illustrations that would be good for young readers to talk about the differences in everyone that still makes them unique and special and about how friends should accept each other for who they are. (

Clumsy Crab is a book about a crab and how he struggles with doing things with his claws. Everything he does with his claws make him clumsy. One day his friend gets trapped in seaweed and clumsy crab uses his claws to cut the seaweed and free his friend. He learns the his claws aren't so bad after all. (

PreSchool-K–Nipper the Crab hates his claws, which seem to get in the way when he is playing with the other sea animals. However, the appendages prove to be the only thing that can save Octopus when he gets tangled in seaweed. All of the creatures are friendly and welcoming, even when Nipper causes chaos in their games. Galloway has a smooth style–the story floats along without noticeable bumps; the onomatopoeia and alliteration, along with the brightly colored, attractive illustrations, make this a good choice for storytimes. And the final lesson–that everyone has a special gift–will be reassuring to youngsters who may feel a little clumsy, too.–
