Beyond the Shadows: The Night Angel Trilogy, 3 (vuoden 2008 painos)

Long, politically bent fantasy trilogies are not normally what I enjoy reading, but I was extremely captivated by the Night Angel Trilogy. I was mostly the characters who made the story interesting, but the plot was ver well planned out and executed. The leading cast are many (literally, the cast of thousands), but each of their stories converge by the finale, with each having an important part to play to bring the story to its end. Some parts we can kind of see coming (obviously the acid tattoo from the dragon was a prelude to Logan being named the High King), but the journey was still interesting because it had so many unpredictable twists and turns.

I can see the trilogy having a sequel trilgogy that follows the twins of mixed parentage, but the past story of the making of the ka'kari would be equally interesting. ( )

Actually enjoyed this trilogy a great deal. Was well written and although it probably won't see the big screen, it had everything I like to see in a fantasy universe.

AWESOME. This trilogy certainly doesn't get the popular attention it deserves. While other popular fantasy authors get touted for their complex magic systems, Weeks dives in with characters and plows straight through with action and a little emotional tugging to give you a satisfying read. Please don't take my stars on this series compared to past recommendations as valuing this book less - I've been too liberal with stars in the past, and this series deserves top notches. Think epic fantasy without the million cast member, 20 volume set. ( )

The last action was fair enough, so 1 stars.

Other than that, the book was complete, utter BS. If it makes sense, sorry, but you need a sense check for that. ( )
