In an attempt to heal and move on, Queen Bitterblue of Monsea pardoned all crimes committed under King Leck’s rule. When Bitterblue suspects that there is more going on in her kingdom, she starts disguising herself and sneaking out. She befriends a couple of thieves whose mission is to return all that of which was stolen during Leck’s time. The Queen is unable to hide the past and insists on deciphering what occurred during the years of King Leck. Queen Bitterblue must right the wrongs committed by King Leck. ( )
